Importance of mental wellbeing when starting and running a business

Many business owners are living and breathing today and tomorrow inside their head. We plan out our day, run scenarios for tomorrow and try to carve out a little dream about the big picture time.

But, if our brain is like motorway at rush-hour, how are we supposed to give our best to ourselves and our business? Whether we’re running an established business or a start-up, our mind is one of the most valuable assets available. Sadly, its also one of the most neglected assets we have. We push it to its limits, don’t get it serviced and feed it crumbs when it needs more if it is to produce the energy for running our business.

During the pandemic, mental health has been one of the key subjects discussed around the world. Whether we have felt restricted or overwhelmed, the reality is we’ve been dealing with stress and paradigms we simply weren’t trained for or used to.

So on this edition of The Kick, Paul Pitsaras will join Andrew Pitchford to talk about your mental wellbeing. Your mind is something that is involved in your ‘whole of life’, from relationships to business, from relaxing and learning through to managing your body health.

Let’s discover some answers to mental wellbeing with Paul Pitsaras. Paul is a former litigation lawyer and now Co-founder, Managing Director and Speaker at The Open Mind Institute, also known as ‘TOMI’.
