How long should I run a digital marketing campaign for?

Generally speaking? For as long as you want a steady stream of leads coming through your website. Each industry is different, though. 

You might be an eCommerce business and need a healthy dose of new customers each day to make that once-off purchase. On the other hand, you might have clients on retainers. So you may just need a few leads each month to ensure your business is safe and steady.

We’re here to help you achieve your goals. So, we’ll ramp your campaign up if you need more leads, but we’ll also reduce your ad spend and scale the campaign down if you’re getting too many leads.

In fact, we even celebrate client cancellations.

This depends! Your target audience size, the level of competition, and the volume of leads and sales you’re after all play a role in determining your digital advertising budget. As a starting point, we typically recommend around $1,000 per month.

We would love to give you a comforting blanket statement like, “Exactly one month!”

But the real answer is that SEO is a bit like the ocean. 

Just like the moon and the weather impact the ocean, the tide, and its waves, your SEO campaign is impacted by the market, your competition’s current rankings, and how active or up-to-date your competition is with their SEO efforts. Oh, and we can’t forget Google’s algorithm changes.

This is one of the most common questions we’re asked. And it makes sense — there are so many options: SEO, Google Ads, Pay-Per-Click on Facebook and LinkedIn, Content Marketing, and the list goes on.

So, which is the right one for you? There are no hard and fast rules. The right advertising strategies depend on who you’re trying to reach and where they spend their time.

Let’s take LinkedIn as an example. You could say this channel is only for businesses targeting other businesses — and that’s almost true. But an online desk company targeting professionals who work from home? They could generate leads and deliver measurable results on LinkedIn without selling to a single business owner.

It’s about understanding your target audience and meeting them where they are.

It depends on the platform. In the PPC space, we offer Facebooks Ads and Google Ads, as well as some ad-hoc PPC services for Instagram and Pinterest. These channels are what we count on for quick wins typically – but they still aren’t instant.

With Google Ads and Facebook Ads, we usually like about a month to really settle into the new platform and get the optimisation of your campaign just right.

In theory, yes. But really, no. The occasional change in your budget is fine – maybe you have too many leads coming in and need to slow them down for a little while. That’s fairly simple for us to accommodate. When you make a change, though, we’re cancelling out the progress we’ve made with your campaign so far. 

So, if the budget were changed frequently, the campaign wouldn’t get the chance to settle, mature, and start raking in those amazing results for you.

Yes, of course. It’s important to us that you own your accounts and have access to them – whether it’s your business’ Facebook profile or your Google Ads account. And we certainly won’t restrict your access if we part ways – we’re not that kind of agency.

But we do ask that you don’t touch anything in these accounts. We’re always happy to chat through and make any changes you like, so if there’s something you want to be updated or changed, then let us know. We’re always happy to help out!

This depends on a lot of different things. The first – what are your business goals? Do you want to continue growing and growing? Or is there a sweet spot that you’ve identified and you’d like to stay in?
