Nationwide

Sponsorships Solved from Budget Direct

Striving to make a difference in your local community but need a financial leg-up? As our giving shows, we’re strong believers in supporting local communities. Not only do we give in the places we work, we also want to help groups throughout Australia in their efforts to build happy and healthy neighbourhoods.

If your organisation is eligible, you can apply for a Budget Direct sponsorship of $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000.

Funding available: up to $5,000 AUD
Funding for: They’re open to sponsoring registered organisations or associations that provide local or statewide community services, run community awareness and education programs, promote health and wellbeing (e.g. sports clubs), advocate for road safety, provide emergency services, support in need or at-risk Australians, and help build strong, vibrant communities.

Queensland

Small Business Adaption Grant Program

The objective of this program is to support small businesses subject to closure or highly impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) shutdown restrictions announced by the Queensland Government, to adapt and sustain their operations, and build resilience.

Funding available: up to $10,000 AUD

Funding for:

  • financial, legal or other professional advice to support business sustainability and diversification
  • strategic planning, financial counselling or business coaching aligned to business development and diversification
  • building the business through marketing and communications activities, for example, content development (web pages, mobile apps, visual and audio media etc.)
  • digital/technological strategy development
  • digital training or re-training to adapt to new business models
  • capital costs associated with meeting COVID-19 safe requirements
  • specialised digital equipment or business specific software to move business operations online (e.g. logistics program for online ordering)
  • meeting business costs, including utilities, rent.

Application deadline: Applications close when funds have been exhausted.

Small Business Digital Grants Program

The Small Business Digital Grants Program can assist small businesses to access digital technologies and services to help them work smarter, engage with the global economy and make the most of online business opportunities arising from digital disruption.

Funding available: $10,000 AUD
Funding for: The purchase of hardware, software and services (such as digital coaching).
Application deadline: DELAYED ⏳ (rumoured to re-open applications in mid-2020)

New South Wales

Small Business COVID-19 Support Grant

The NSW Government is providing financial support to ease the pressures on small business as a result of COVID-19.

If your small business or non-profit organisation has experienced a significant decline in revenue as a result of COVID-19, you may be eligible for the small business support grant of up to $10,000.

Funding available: $10,000 AUD
Funding for: Utilities, council rates, telecommunication charges, insurance, payments, professional advice, wages for an employee not eligible for JobKeeper payments, franchise fees and paying creditors if your business is closing.
Application deadline: Open until 1st June, 2020 ✅

City of Sydney “Quick Response” Grant

To help individuals and organisations through the Covid-19 pandemic, we’re releasing an extra $500,000 in quick response grants. These are rolling grants – there is no application deadline.

Funding available: up to $5,000 AUD
Funding for: Feeding vulnerable community members, providing digital assistance to vulnerable community members, helping vulnerable community members feel connected, strengthening community support networks, delivering performances, creative work and classes online and helping businesses to continue to trade.

Bankstown Smart City Smart Business Grant

In order to deliver additional direct support to businesses, Council has allocated a total pool of $250,000 which will be distributed as grants to assist businesses to develop and/or improve their e-commerce capabilities and online marketing. These Smart City Smart Business Grants are being made available through a streamlined application process and will offer dollar for dollar funding up to a maximum of $2,000, to businesses with a turnover below $5M.

Funding available: up to $2,000 AUD
Funding for: Developing a new website, improving an existing website, developing an online catalogue or sales capability, purchase of specific and dedicated software (not hardware) to improve your online capability, undertaking paid online and social media advertising, and; develop an online ordering system and/or service for your product or services.

Victoria

Small Business Support Fund

The Victorian Government has launched the $500 million Business Support Fund to help small businesses survive the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19) and keep people in work.

Funding available: $10,000 AUD
Funding for: Meeting business costs (including utilities, salaries, rent), seeking financial, legal or other advice to support business continuity planning, developing the business through marketing and communications activities, other supporting activities related to the operation of the business.
Application deadline: Open until 1st June, 2020 ✅

Western Australia

COVID-19 payroll tax relief

The Government has announced a range of payroll tax measures  to support businesses impacted by the coronavirus.

Funding available: $17,500 AUD
Funding for: A one-off grant of $17,500 will be given to employers, or groups of employers, whose annual Australian taxable wages are more than $1 million and less than $4 million.

South Australia

$10,000 Emergency Cash Grants for Small Businesses

Small businesses and not-for-profit entities that employ South Australians who have been highly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible to receive a $10,000 grant to support the operation of their business.

The grant is being funded from the State Government’s $650 million Jobs Rescue Package.

Funding for: Supporting the operation of your business.

Northern Territory

Small Business Survival Fund

The Jobs Rescue and Recovery plan’s Small Business Survival Fund is a $50 million initiative to help Territory small businesses survive the physical distancing requirements in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Funding available: Between $2,000 AUD and $50,000 AUD (plus additional cash boosts and support payments)
Funding for: The immediate survival payment provides an initial lump sum directed to businesses to help offset immediate cost pressures and provide time to plan.

Tasmania

Small Business Emergency Support Grant Round 2

To ensure that we continue to be responsive to the current gaps and needs of Tasmanian small businesses, further support is available for Tasmanian businesses through the extension of the Small Business Emergency Grants.

Round 2 of the Emergency Support Grants with grants of $2,500 available to those businesses under severe hardship and who have not yet received funding under the first round.

Funding for: Helping your business survive through financial hardship.

Small Business Hardship Grant

Grants of $15 000 will be available and applications will be accepted from businesses that employ fewer than 50 FTEs.

Hobart eCommerce Support Grant

The City of Hobart offers business grants designed to assist small business as well as the wider community by providing financial assistance for marketing activities.

Funding available: up to $300 AUD
Funding for: This funding is to cover the equivalent of approximately 6 months of fees for an ecommerce platform.

Other Financial Assistance

Google “Free Ad Credits” for Small Business Program

Google are giving SMBs worldwide $340 million in ad credits, which can be used at any point until the end of 2020 across our Google Ads platforms.

Funding available: The ad credit amount will vary by customer based on past Google Ads spend, and the country and currency where the business and Google Ads account is set up.
Funding for: This is an ad credit for future Google Ads spend.
Application deadline: No application required ✅ You will automatically be notified if you’re eligible, starting in late May 2020.

Facebook Small Business Grants Program

Facebook is offering $100M in cash grants and ad credits for up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in over 30 countries where they operate. 

Funding available: Full details haven’t been made available yet.
Funding for: Keeping your workforce going strong, help with your rent costs, connecting with more customers and covering operational costs.
Application deadline: No application required ✅ You can get notified when the grant is available in your location.
