The Role, in a Nutshell...
This role is pivotal in giving our clients the right start to their digital marketing journey with Excite Media.
You’ll be working with potential clients to discover how we can help their business through our service offering of Strategic Websites, SEO, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and more.
After your initial meetings with each potential client, you’ll put together a sales proposal which clearly walks through how we can help.
First and foremost, we aim to be truly consultative with our clients, and ensure we’re only offering solutions we think will be right for their business. Even if that means we’re not a good fit – that’s ok too. We value integrity and transparency with every business we deal with.

A Day in the Life of a
New Business Consultant

We believe in a truly consultative approach when working with potential clients. This role gives you the opportunity to consult with small-medium businesses and create digital strategies that will set them up for online success.
- Meeting with potential clients (in-person and online) to learn about their business.
- Reviewing the existing websites of potential clients to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analysing digital marketing opportunities for potential clients and showing them how we can help them generate more leads online.
- Showing clients the "Excite Media Difference" - with thousands of happy clients and 16+ years of experience, you'll have all the tools you'll need to showcase the difference in quality, customer service, and results.
- Creating sales proposals with your recommendations for how each client can best succeed online.
- Following up on sales proposals, and making it easy for clients to move forward.
- Being an ambassador for Excite Media's values and expertise.
- Providing a first-class level of care in every interaction with potential clients.
- Keeping up to date with latest trends and methodologies to ensure we’re providing the best advice for our clients.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have many of the following attributes, and will always be willing to learn:
- A positive attitude!
- A “people person” who loves meeting with clients (in-person and online).
- Experience advising small-medium businesses on digital strategy.
- Experience in sales, with a consultative approach.
- Passion for the web, and for creating clever digital marketing strategies.
- A good understanding of Websites, SEO, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and a desire to continuously keep your knowledge up to date.
- Experience with Google Analytics, SEO tools, and paid search tools.
- Ability to be super-dependable to your teammates and clients.
- Ability to follow existing processes, and assist with developing new processes.
