    Website Concept Design
    Website Construction
    Content Input
    Online Marketing Strategy

Your project manager will walk you through each of these stages and explain what is required of you during each one.

Stage 1 - Website Concept Design

In this stage our professional graphic designer will create the look and feel for your new website. We will present you with an initial concept design, and then work with you to make any changes you suggest to ensure the design suits your vision. Once the concept design stage is completed, the artwork is passed to our programmer for Stage 2.

Stage 2 - Website Construction

In the Website Construction stage, your new website concept design is converted into a fully functional website. A professionally constructed website has many advantages including speed of download and navigation, search engine optimisation and expandability through our unique modular design. We set this up on a temporary domain for you so that your current website can still be up and running until your new website is ready to take over.

This stage also includes the integration of Excite Mediaโ€™s unique Content Management System, called "ExcitePanel". ExcitePanel provides you with the ability to update the content on your website with ease. You will be able to add complete new pages (as many as you like!), edit current pages, add text, images, videos, links, tables etc. all very easily. If you are capable of using Microsoft Word, you already have all the skills you need to use this system!

You will also benefit from ongoing automatic system updates and enhancements for the life of your website.

Stage 3 - Content Input

Your website content is important to the success of your online strategy. There are 3 options for your website content.

If you have an existing website, we can transfer your existing content over to your new site.
You can provide your content to us yourself in our easy to use "Content Plan" document. We have designed this document to help make this process as easy for you as possible.
We can introduce you to a professional copywriter who can provide you with a quote for assisting you with writing your website content.

Once this stage is complete, the site is ready to go live. We will be readily available for ongoing support and changes when required, at no extra charge.

Stage 4 - Online Marketing Strategy

Many website owners wonder why their website attracts very few visitors. Excite Media has a number of different online marketing packages available to help increase the traffic to your site.

At Excite Media we offer unique processes to continually enhance your positioning on search engines, which in turn will increase your website traffic. On completion of your website, we can work with you to develop an online marketing strategy that meets your budget and business goals. Please contact us if you are interested in finding out more about our online marketing packages.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that many of our clients don't have previous experience with having a website designed (or in some cases have had a bad experience with another company!), so we try our best to make everything as clear as possible. Here is a list of common questions we encounter:
What do we need from you?

At different stages of the project your project manager will require a few things from you.

To get started we will require:

Your business logo (if we are designing, or have designed a new logo for you then you don't need to provide this to us).
Your brief - this is a questionnaire that is included in your Welcome Pack. This will assist your Project manager in briefing our graphic designer.
Any photos that you would like us to use - if you don't have any photos we can source stock photos for you, or alternatively we can introduce you to a professional photographer who can organise to take photos for you.

Throughout the design stage your Project Manager will ask you to provide us with feedback on the design so that we can keep things moving forward for you.

Once the design is complete we will then require you to provide us with the "content" for the website. This is the text, images, links, tables etc. that will be displayed on every page of your site. We will provide you with a "Content Plan" document to help make putting this information together as easy as possible. Alternatively, if you don't have time to write the content yourself we can introduce you to a copywriter that can assist with this process.

At all times during the project your Project Manager will keep you informed with what is required from you to keep things moving forward smoothly.
How long will the design take?

From the time that we have received the information required from you (as described above), we will have your initial design concept to you within 5 working days. We will always endeavour to beat this time and have the design to you as quickly as we can. Once you have given us feedback on the design, we will always try to have a revision to you within 3 working days (depending on the complexity of the changes).
What happens after the design stage is complete?

Once the design is complete, it will take our programmer up to 5 working days to build the site, and again we will always try to do this as quickly as we can for you. At the completion of this stage you will be able to see the new design converted into a completely functional website with the Content Management System (CMS) installed. At this stage your website will be a completely blank shell, ready for us to start uploading your content which you will need to provide to us."
